My Hair is Way Too Soft...

When was the last time you had this "complaint"? For me, the answer is never!

But today, lo and behold, my hair was so darned soft I couldn't do anything with it! I'm so used to the resistance of my coils when I pull my hair into a puff, but today my tie just wouldn't hold. It kept sliding right off. I tried an afro, but my hair just flopped over instead of going straight up and out like usual. I had to keep wetting it to get a twist to hold, and even that was barely working.

This softness is actually great, except that it caught me totally off guard trying to rush and do one of my usual 30 second styles with the texture I'm used to. Want to know how you can get this soft hair "problem"?

It's surprisingly easy - mix coconut oil and castor oil, apply to damp hair and braid it. Allow it to dry then remove the braids. Your hair will be stretched and super soft without a blow dryer, flat iron, or any heat whatsoever. My hair usually hates oil, so this mixture may work for you even if you're using a no oil routine.

That sounds good. I'm so excited about trying new things with my hair and I think this will be great. I want soft hair like a fluffy cotton cloud.

I've recently joined the castor oil bandwagon and I love it. I try to use only a liiiitttttllllleeee bit. I mix it with avocado oil, though. I'm probably the only natural on the east coast that hasn't used coconut oil (yet).

Sidebar, my hair seemed to get really soft when I decided to loc, too forever!!!

Actually planning on locking again soon, cut them a few years ago and this time I'm going with extentions to start them off because it took a year due to my hair texture. Any other time it's not that soft Oh unless I want it to be kinky for a style I'm trying to rock:)
