I was talking to a friend of mine the other day.
He said he asked a woman once, "I guess I would be messed up if I didn't have this hair huh?" (She had complimented him on his "pretty hair.") She replied, "Well it is your best feature." It made him uncomfortable enough to start wearing a hat frequently. This is an attractive, educated, and successful Black man, yet all this sistah saw was some "pretty hair."
We have a lot of work to do - let's get the message out there! (Pssst, healthy hair is "good hair," pass it on.)
